The Coudersport Area School District would like to extend a special thanks to Red Horse Grill and God's Country Kettle Corn for their participation in our first home football game on Friday night. The Sports Boosters are working hard to have the concession stand in service for events after Friday evening . If you are interested in volunteering to help with the concession stand, please contact the Sports Boosters. We invite everyone to come out and support the Falcon Football Team on Friday night at 7 pm as they take on Kane.

After a very successful foray at states competition last month, the Black Forest Falcons Youth Trap Team competed against over 2500 of the best shooters at SCTP Nationals in Marengo, Ohio this weekend. Thirty two shooters from the Austin, Coudersport, Galeton, and Northern Potter school districts competed in their respective divisions during two days of competition. The Intermediate Beginner (first-year shooters) squad of Austyn Matteson, Eli Darrah, Isaac Ostroski, Boone Faulstick, and Avery Torrey finished third overall in their division with a score of 893/1000. Additionally, Austyn Matteson finished in the top 10 (8th) out of 213 beginner shooters. The Intermediate Advanced squad of Chase Hamilton, Isaac Gledhill, Alexis Risser, Cael DeLong, and Haylee Hanes finished tenth overall in their respective division with a score of 898/1000. Carson Cooney led the scoring for the Falcons (194) followed by Taylor Knowles (193), Owen Gill (192), Owen Daniels (192), Izayah Freeman (191), Ethan Hamilton (191), Austyn Matteson (191), and Ty Daniels (190).

Thirty-two shooters from the Black Forest Falcons Youth Trap Team traveled to Elysburg, PA this weekend to participate in the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and Amateur Trap Association/AIM (ATA/AIM) State Championships. The Falcons shot against over 400 of the best shooters from around the state and landed on the podium in several categories: SCTP Competition on Saturday 1st Place, Intermediate Beginner Squad (6th/7th/8th Grade) – Avery Torrey, Eli Darrah, Isaac Ostroski, Boone Faulstick, Austyn Matteson 2nd Place, Intermediate Advanced Squad (6th/7th/8th Grade) – Cael DeLong, Isaac Gledhill, Alexis Risser, Haylee Hanes, Chase Hamilton 2nd Place, Varsity Squad – Ethan Hamilton, Kevin Greeley, Ty Daniels, Izayah Freeman, Owen Gill (tied for first with 488/500 targets, but bumped to second place based on tie-breaking criteria) 1st Place, Intermediate Beginner Shooter – Eli Darrah 1st Place, Intermediate Advanced Shooter – Cael DeLong Honorable Mention, Intermediate Beginner Shooters, Austyn Matteson 4th, Boone Faulstick 5th, Avery Torrey 8th Honorable Mention, Varsity Shooter, Ethan Hamilton (10th with 99/100) ATA/AIM Competition on Sunday 2nd Place, Pre Sub Junior – Austyn Matteson 4th Place, Sub Junior – Isaac Gledhill 2nd Place, Junior – Ty Daniels 5th Place, Junior – Owen Gill 2nd Place, Sub Junior Squad – Cael DeLong, Isaac Gledhill, Alexis Risser, Haylee Hanes, Chase Hamilton The Falcons will be traveling to the Cardinal Center in Marengo, Ohio during 18-19 July for SCTP Nationals.
