Transportation

School buses are one of the safest modes of transportation. In fact, students are nearly 2,000 times safer in a school bus than in the family car. With well-maintained buses and safe, vetted drivers, rest assured that your son or daughter is in good hands while in the care of our transportation providers.

Bus Rules

Riding the bus is a privilege—not a right. For the safety of all passengers, we expect students to adhere to the following regulations:

  • Remain seated while the bus is in motion.
  • You are financially accountable for any damages caused to the school bus.
  • Refrain from extending any body part outside of the bus.
  • No spitting or throwing objects inside or outside of the bus.
  • No tobacco, drugs (including prescription), narcotics, or alcohol.
  • Keep things clean. Do not leave litter behind.
  • No foul or profane language.
  • Keep the aisle clear.
  • No cleats or spiked shoes.
  • Keep your bottom on the seat.
  • No pounding, kicking, or stomping on the ceiling, side panels, or floors of the bus.

We do not permit students to bring any of the following on the school bus:

  • Live animals
  • Firearms, ammunition, or explosives
  • Weapons
  • Speaker devices
  • Skateboards or in-line skates
  • Anything dangerous or of an objectionable nature
  • Glass containers

Bus Driver Conduct

If you or your child has a dispute with a bus driver, please complete the Bus Driver Conduct Report form, and bring it to the school principal's office to begin the investigation process into the matter.
